A friend like you

It's one layer week at Less is More & I often find this challenge a challenge!  The challenge is to make the sentiment the main focus of the card. I haven't inked up these honeycomb stamps from Clearly Besotted for a while & thought these would make a nice background. I was tempted to go for pink, green & then yellow or purple as the third colour, but decided to use this lovely bright, but pastel blue instead. I quite like the card I have come up with this time ...

Thanks for popping by & take care.

Friends Forever

Evening! I ordered a few stamp sets from this month's new release from Clearly Besotted & had a play with the 'Friends Forever' set on Saturday when they arrived. The set has 2 gorgeous flowers, including a tulip - my favourite flower - & some lovely 'friend' sentiments. Here's 2 cards I made ...

And close up ...

I've also recently purchased some of the mini Tim Holtz distress ink pads & I used these to watercolour the flowers.

Challenges:
CAS-ual Friday challenge - to use a watercolour technique & keep it clean & simple.
Just Us Girls - the theme is 'Love'

I hope you like them :) Thanks for looking x

Friends ...

Last week it was the birthday of a very lovely lady, a very good friend of mine. Here's the card I made for her ...

Supplies used:
Cardstock & ink - Primrose petals & midnight muse, Stampin' Up
Paper - Stampin' Up
Stamp & die - Polka dot greetings & Fishtail flags, Die-namics
Punch - Potpourri butterfly, Stampin' Up
Embossing folder - Lattice, Stampin' Up

Her birthday lunch had to be postponed because of that pesky snow! But wasn't it pretty?! Me & my daughter went for a walk & found this ...

Very Narnia like, isn't it! So pretty.

But now it's all gone, my kiddies are back at school & we return to normality *sigh*

Thanks for popping by & take care x
