Thank you teacher!

I can't believe we're 2 weeks into the school holidays already! We've been making the most of this gorgeous weather and have had the pool out this week which the kids have loved & I even managed to read an entire book in the garden!
When my son goes back to school in September he will have a new teacher, so he sadly had to say goodbye to his lovely teacher and teaching assistant at the end of term. Of course, I had to make them both a card :) Inspired by the lovely gift box made by Lynne at the Stampin' Up training recently, I also decided to make a small gift bag to hold a little pressie. The finished results ...

Now let's take a peeky inside ...

... an "A+ teacher" keyring and some Thorntons choccys. Yummy :)

My son's teacher is called Miss Rose, so I just had to include a rolled rose on her card. Here's a close up ...

Now, have you seen the flashing Pink Lady blinkie at the top of my blog? How cool is that?! I'm a member of the Pink Ladies/Lads Stampin' Up team run by Michelle Last. If you have ever considered becoming an Independent Stampin' up demonstrator, now is a fantastic time to join up ... you will have until December to achieve your quarterly target, a chance to buy from the last chance product list of discounted Stampin' Up products that runs throughout September and the launch of the new catalogue in October. And only independent demonstrators get a sneak preview of the new catalogue in September and are able to pre-order from it. If you would like to become a demonstrator, or host your own Stampin' Up party, where I come and demonstrate lots of lovely Stampin' Up goodies, then please contact me at pickledpapercrafts@gmail.com

Thank you for stopping by & take care x

Shades of blue

I'm going to try & enter some of the lovely challenges that are out there in blog land. I love the Less is More blog & their challenge this week is for a clean & simple designs in shades of blue. So I went back to my first Stampin' Up hostess gift of the Punch Potpourri stamp set & this is what I came up with ...
I scored 2 lines with my paper trimmer to define the centre panel. I then masked the top & bottom parts of the card & stamped the flowers in Pacific Point, Marina Mist & Night of Navy. I must give a shout out to Vicky as I saw the idea for the scored lines on her blog. The sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set.
I seem to have a bit of an obsession with the colour blue at the moment, so watch this space for more 'blue' cards :)

Thanks for popping by x
