Gorgeous razzleberry ribbon

Just a quick post to show you the card & gift box I made with the free gift from Stampin Up this month ...

Supplies used:
Rich razzleberry stripe ribbon
Word window punch
Rich razzleberry cardstock
Pillow box sizzix die

The last 5 weeks I've had my babies with me 24/7 as they're on school holidays. In a week's time they'll be back at school ... I shall miss them so much, it's been lovely having lots of relaxing, chilling time together.
In other news ... some of you may know that I'm studying for a degree with the Open University. I've been studying a psychology module for the past 9 months & had to sit an exam in June, something I haven't done for, well, let's just say a very long time! I recently got my results & I passed with a grade 2 :)
Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Take care & thanks for stopping by x

Thank you teacher!

I can't believe we're 2 weeks into the school holidays already! We've been making the most of this gorgeous weather and have had the pool out this week which the kids have loved & I even managed to read an entire book in the garden!
When my son goes back to school in September he will have a new teacher, so he sadly had to say goodbye to his lovely teacher and teaching assistant at the end of term. Of course, I had to make them both a card :) Inspired by the lovely gift box made by Lynne at the Stampin' Up training recently, I also decided to make a small gift bag to hold a little pressie. The finished results ...

Now let's take a peeky inside ...

... an "A+ teacher" keyring and some Thorntons choccys. Yummy :)

My son's teacher is called Miss Rose, so I just had to include a rolled rose on her card. Here's a close up ...

Stampin' Up Quarterly training

When I signed up as a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator I joined a team called the Pink Ladies/Lads. This team is run by Michelle Last & every quarter she arranges a day's training in Bicester. A couple of weeks ago I went to my first one & what a fab day it was! I chose to take part in the 'swaps' whereby you make 20 cards, or similar, all the same. You swap these with others so by the end of the day you have 20 different inspiration samples! Here are the ones I made ...

Supplies used:
Stamps - Wedding Wheels, Basic Phrases
Ink pad - Baja Breeze
Papers - Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack in Baja Breeze
Punches - Modern Label, Word Window, Scallop Trim Border

And here are the swaps I came home with ...

It was a day full of inspiration & ideas & an opportunity to meet some lovely people. Oh, & lots of cake & biscuits :) We also had a wonderful project to make during the day, designed by the very talented Gill Prescott which consisted of a book box with 4 matching cards using the Botanical Gazette designer series papers. I haven't finished making the cards yet, but here is the book box ...

I enjoyed the day so much, I've already booked to go on the next one in October!

Take care & thank you for popping by x
