Nature walk for lil sis

It was my sister's birthday recently. She's developed a real love of birds & her garden is filled with bird boxes & feeders! So I just had to make her birthday card with my favourite stamp set from the SU mini catalogue, Nature Walk. And here's the finished result. I don't have any rich razzleberry ribbon, so I cheated ... I dragged a rich razzleberry ink pad along a length of white taffeta ribbon, crafty eh? ;)

Supplies used:
Cardstock - rich razzleberry, crumb cake, old olive
Paper - Brights designer paper stack in rich razzleberry
Stamps - Nature Walk, sentiment from Party this Way
Ink pads - old olive, rich razzleberry Punches - Scallop trim border, word window, modern label
Other - Whisper white taffeta ribbon, SU exclusive Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Basic pearls

I'm posting this from my mobile as not only do we have a fault on our phone line, resulting in a dodgy internet connection, but my camera doesn't want to play at the moment :( I have lots of other pics to show you when its fixed including some lovely cards & giftbags I made for my son's teachers!

Take care, and thank you for popping by x

Shades of blue

I'm going to try & enter some of the lovely challenges that are out there in blog land. I love the Less is More blog & their challenge this week is for a clean & simple designs in shades of blue. So I went back to my first Stampin' Up hostess gift of the Punch Potpourri stamp set & this is what I came up with ...
I scored 2 lines with my paper trimmer to define the centre panel. I then masked the top & bottom parts of the card & stamped the flowers in Pacific Point, Marina Mist & Night of Navy. I must give a shout out to Vicky as I saw the idea for the scored lines on her blog. The sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set.
I seem to have a bit of an obsession with the colour blue at the moment, so watch this space for more 'blue' cards :)

Welcome to my blog!

Hello & welcome to my new papercrafting blog! I've been an avid card maker for years & am looking forward to sharing ideas & inspiration with you all.
I have recently signed up as an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator so this blog will feature crafty creations made with their products. So, to get this blog started here's the first card I made with my new Stampin' Up products ...

I love this I (Heart) Hearts stamp set, stamped with melon mambo ink. Such a versatile set that can be used for birthday cards for friends, wedding, anniversary and valentine cards. I fell in love with the Scallop Trim Border punch as soon as I saw it. The background is stamped with the Friendly stamp.

The Nature Walk stamp set is my favourite stamp set from the current Mini catalogue & I made these two cards with it ...

These cards are stamped in old olive & pretty in pink inks with papers from the brights & subtles collections of designer series paper stacks.

I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day & used early espresso, marina mist, old olive and real red ink.
